Talking about sports cars, we have to discuss the legendary manufacturer, Aston Martin. This British manufacturer is about to launch its latest car known as Aston Martin DBX. It seems that the manufacturer doesn’t want to reveal the complete specification until the end of 2019 although they have manufactured the car. Let’s find out the things that make this car interesting to drive.

The Exterior

Based on the latest Aston Martin DBX prototype, there are some interesting improvements. Let say, the grille is designed along with cross-sectioned slats and small air intakes. Moreover, you will also see the grille on the lower section of the front bumper. To make the car more stylish, the manufacturer is installing LED light units on the headlights. The overall design of the car looks similar to SUV but it is not. It seems that  the manufacturer wants to create a sports car with an off-road appearance. Instead of using 3 doors, Aston Martin DBX is using 5 doors form. It might look conventional in design but it is the way to compete with the competitors. The manufacturer introduces the car with an eye-catching body. Instead of using a plain color, Aston Martin gives something different by applying a patterned color for the Aston Martin DBX.

The Engine

Seeing the exterior of 2020 Aston Martin DBX is not enough to know the performance. Indeed, you must know the engine. It is predicted that this car will be supported by the AMG twin-turbo V-8 engine. It is not a surprising prediction because all of the Aston Martin models are using this engine. It seems that the V-8 engine works well to keep the performance of the cars. By using this engine, the car can produce up to 503 horsepower. The difference is that this car is designed with all-wheel-drive and becoming the first all-wheel drive car in Aston Martin. You can choose to use a plug-in hybrid or electric system. This engine is the same engine used by Mercedes-AMG. Aston Martin’s vice-president and chief marketing officer, Simon Sproule said that 2020 Aston Martin DBX is not supported by an electric powertrain. Instead of using an electric powertrain, this car is using gasoline.

The Interior

There is no information about the interior since Aston Martin only releases the prototype of the car. We may predict that the interior is covered with fine leather, wood trim, and real metal accents. It seems that the manufacturer designs the car for at least four adults. The goal of the car is to produce a luxury sports car. Because of that, the interior and technology of Aston Martin DBX might be similar to Bentley Bentayga or Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. It is also possible that the interior is close to Lamborghini Urus or Maserati Levante. We just have to wait until the end of 2019 to know the detail of the car including the interior and its features.

The Release Date

The prototype has been tested since last year. The test is held in some tracks including at Welsh rally stages, the Nurburgring race track, and the Frozen Arctic Circle. 2020 Aston Martin DBX is developed at Saint Athan in Wales. Based on the improvement so far, it seems that the car will be released in the first quarter of 2020. There is no clear information yet about the place to release the car. Just like any other top manufacturers, there is a big possibility that Aston Martin chooses a precious auto show such as Frankfurt or Los Angeles. Frankfurt Auto Show is held in September whereas Los Angeles Auto Show is held in November.

The Price

So, how much does 2020 Aston Martin DBX? There is no exact information yet related to the price of the car. Based on the prototype and the development made by the manufacturer so far, the car might be sold at $200.000 and even more. Indeed, the price is reasonable enough because the drivers are about to get a luxury and sporty car along with a stylish and comfortable interior. Plus, we can sure that Aston Martin gives the touch of the high-tech system inside the car that makes the car looks cool to ride. So, we just have to wait for the final reveal to know the performance of the car.
